... Or you'll wind up being remembered like this:

This was a real obituary that ran in the Vallejo Times-Herald by the one of the deceased's daughters, who said that as children they were, "unfed, poorly clothed and completely terrorized."

I can see it. However, I wouldn't have wasted the money on an Obit.
How interesting... Sounds like those kids need to move on...
I'd say this daughter had a great deal of anger - I hope *she* is finally at peace with *herself*!
Sounds like mom had some unresolved issues in her own life, that prevented her from feeling or showing love.
Therefore, perpetuating the "curse" into following generations.
Sad, and a dreadful waste of human potential.
tmw
we should have an obituary writing contest where we write our own and let people vote on them!
hammer's would be full of*&%^(* +_))(78 and some of ^$#$?<><> these and we could just guess what he was saying - bwaaaaaaaaahahahaha!
my own would be one big "oh boo" moment.
Heehee!
Nah I don't was good %^^&*(& on dead people. ;D
Sounds like unresolved issues on both sides of that family. I don't have that problem, but if I felt that way about my family member,
I wouldn't wase good money on an obit. It's not like they're going to be around to read it.
Sadly, I hold similar feelings toward my mother, who has turned into a curmudgeon that I just do not want to be around anymore.
When she was younger, she was happy, friendly, etc. but after the cancer was cured, she became mean, disaffectionate, and downright unfair, felt never a need to offer any apologies for the years of pain she brought us.
we love you, brigitte...
any'y'all call me "nice" at my funeral and i kill you!
